Leibee's First Christmas

Dressing up our little one is a whole lot of fun! I purchased her ensemble months ago, and

she wore her best for Christmas Eve service. We gathered for a candlelight service.

Lowell reluctantly donned his best, even ironing his clothes for a special family picture in front of the Christmas tree.

8 Month Memories

Leibee hit Vegas in a big way! Our annual Hoo Family trip was a lot of fun. We took Leibee

out one night so she could check out the lights, and they were a hit. Here she is, bundled up in my dad's arms. Under the blanket, she was also wearing a furry pram. It seems that Gung Gung cannot emphasize enough the importance of keeping her warm!

Inside, we feasted at Circus Circus on all-you-can-eat prime rib. It was quite a trek to the restaurant that serves up such a dinner, but we all left with our bellies full and ready to hibernate for the evening...

As you can see, Leibee is making attempts to feed herself. True, it's not yet a great success, but she'll get there soon!

See my Teeth?

It has taken a lot of tries, but here they are: Leibee's first two teeth! The one on her left came in first, quickly followed by the other. She uses them to gnaw on any number of items she can get her teeth on: shoes, saltine crackers, cheese, books, you name it! They have really changed her look...now an older baby for sure.

Games we Play

We have discovered that Leibee really enjoys the way the world looks upside down. She giggles with joy when she's turned around, and we can increase the laughter with tickles and blowing on her belly.

She also makes funny faces when you blow on her. When she senses that she's in for a windfall, she squints her eyes and braces for the inevitable. Sometimes she'll blow spit bubbles out of her mouth, too.

Is Leibee Chinese?

We now have proof positive that Leibee is Chinese...she eats duck! Paddy Waddy is her best stuffed pal. She seeks his constant companionship where ever she goes, whether playing in her bedroom, riding in the car, or crawling around the apartment.

Loves to Eat!

Leibee can now grasp some chunks of food such as crackers or bread and feed herself. Her two little teeth on the bottom aren't used for a whole lot, but she can gum various foods before swallowing the soggy masses. Cheerios are a favorite. She's also now enjoying peas, yogurt, cheese, and ground beef. What discoveries are being made!
